What to do with it?

Household batteries are classified as e-waste and cannot be placed in any kerbside collection bins.


Did you know?

They can be dropped off for free at the Drysdale or Geelong Resource Recovery Centres.

They can also be dropped off at:

  • ALDI offers a free recycling service for household batteries in every store.
  • Leave them at any of our Customer Services Centres.
  • Drop them off at the Lara Library.

What to do with it?

Drop off car batteries for free at the Geelong Resource Recovery Centre in Douro St North Geelong.


Did you know?

Lead-acid (car, bike and boat) batteries contain substances that are both toxic to the environment and commercially valuable.

They can be recovered and recycled into new products.
