We can assist new and existing businesses throughout the region, with our business concierge service, mentoring, networking and training programs, as well as business and marketing support.


Small businesses are a huge driver of Greater Geelong's economy and their success is important to our vision for a clever and creative future. We are committed to helping businesses in our region to get started, continue to grow, and ultimately thrive. 

Did you know:

  • There are more than 19,000 small businesses in Greater Geelong, and they make up around 97% of all businesses.
  • It is estimated that small business generates around $7 billion or 30% of the total annual revenue in Greater Geelong.
  • During 2021, the Economic Development team supported over 3010 small businesses via the provision of vouchers, mentoring services, COVID Safe business grants, COVID business support, the Business Concierge service and the Geelong Small Business Festival.
