The Belmont Common is a large area set alongside the Barwon River for recreational pursuits. The reserve is used for passive recreation and features three ovals with hard wickets and cricket practice nets. The reserve has been developed for junior football and women's cricket.

This reserve has been designed for sporting clubs to hire on a casual basis and has flood lights for winter training.
