The Geelong Technical Education Centre (GTEC) forms part of the Gordon Institute of TAFE in East Geelong.
The Centre offers specialised trade training to senior secondary students in metal and engineering, building and construction, electrotechnology and automotive-diesel, as well as other trainee and apprenticeship options.
The Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) is combined with Certificate II and III training and on-site training through Practical Placements and School-based Apprenticeships.
The integrated program is project-based with an emphasis on problem-solving and practical, hands-on experience.
