The Leopold Men's Shed commenced in March 2012 and we now have 65 members from Ocean Grove, Leopold and the greater Geelong area.
We have movie nights, regular social dinners, regular sausage sizzles, and bus trips around the region.
BBQs at various stores contribute a large percentage of our funds as we have to self-finance because we are not on Crown or church land.
Our members engage in activities that range from card-playing, computer-training, pen-making, wood-working and welding, right through to assisting at community events and aiding charitable institutions and programs.
We are very proud of our extensive garden that provides our members with various vegetables and produce.
We will not do any work that would deprive self-employed people of income. The main thrust of our Shed's ethos is to be friendly, and support each other.
Every 2nd Friday we have a BBQ at the Shed, and we meet for dinner with our partners at "Sporty's" at 6:30pm every third Wednesday of the month for further socialising.
We are very friendly and welcoming. Come and have a look at us, and maybe join us.
