The South Barwon Community Centre (SBCC) runs the Neighbourhood House program based in Belmont and serving the Belmont, Highton and Wandana Heights communities, though participants come from all over the Geelong Region.
SBCCs mission is to contribute to the achievement of a strong, vibrant and caring community through the promotion of active citizenship.
Our activities include:
- The Scribes Writers group for writers new and experienced
- Health and Wellbeing classes including Tai Chi, Yoga, fitness classes especially for older adults, and weekly walking groups
- Art and Craft Groups
- Computer and Technology short courses
- A weekly playgroup hosted by a play leader for people who missed out on mum's group
- Dads in Distress support group
Our services include:

- Resume Help
- Recycling drop off stamps, ringpulls, reading glasses and old bras!
- Free Jigsaw Puzzle Library
