The amendment proposes to rezone the land at 135 Staceys Road, Lovely Banks and road reserve adjoining the south boundary from Farming Zone to Urban Growth Zone, in accordance with Clause 21.20 (Northern and Western Geelong Growth Areas).
The Amendment was adopted
by Council on 28 June 2022 and sent to the Minister for Planning for approval on the
date listed above.

The Independent Panel provided its
report to Council following the Panel Hearing and a copy is provided below under “Panel Hearing Documents”.
Council officers reviewed the Panel’s recommendations and prepared a report to be
considered at the Council meeting on 28 June 2022.

An Independent Panel was appointed to review submissions and conducted a Panel Hearing on 1 April 2022. A copy of the timetable

Council's Delegate considered a report on the
submissions to this Amendment on 14 January 2022 and resolved to refer them to an
Independent Panel.
A copy of the Council Delegate’s Report is provided below under
"Supporting Documents". Anyone who made a
submission has been notified about the Panel Hearing and given an opportunity to present to the Panel.

Public exhibition of Amendment C437ggee closed on 21 December 2022.

Council prepared Amendment C437ggee to the planning scheme. The
amendment proposes to rezone the land at 135 Staceys Road, Lovely Banks and
road reserve adjoining the south boundary from Farming Zone to Urban Growth
Zone, in accordance with Clause 21.20 (Northern and Western Geelong Growth
Areas).
It will
also correct an omission in amendment C395ggee, which rezoned land in the
Northern and Western Geelong Growth Areas to the Urban Growth Zone, to
facilitate the implementation of the Northern and Western Geelong Growth
Areas Framework Plan (August 2020).
The
decision to prepare and exhibit the Amendment was made by a delegated Council
