The Amendment was adopted by Council on 9 April 2019 and sent to the Minister for Planning for approval on 29 April 2019.

Public exhibition of Amendment C388 has now closed.
The next step is for a report on submissions to be prepared and considered by Council at the meeting date shown above.

The
amendment introduces an Environmentally Sustainable Development (ESD) Policy
into the Greater Geelong Planning Scheme in a new Clause 22.68. The amendment also makes changes to the Local
Planning Policy Framework at Clauses 21.02 and 21.05 to reflect the ESD Policy.
The
decision to prepare and exhibit the Amendment was made by Council at its
meeting of 14 August 2018. The minutes
