The Amendment was adopted by Council on 23rd October 2018 and sent to the Minister for approval.

The Amendment was split into Part 1 and Part 2 - see Council minutes below under Supporting Documents for more details.

C376 Part 1 was adopted and C376 Part 2 has been deferred pending: a) review of the listing of the Former Bachyrus Steam Shovel site at Batesford Quarry on the Victorian Heritage Register; and b) discussions with the affected landowner of the proposed extent of the revised listing of the Batesford cement elevator in the schedule to the Heritage Overlay.

Council has prepared Amendment C376 to the planning scheme.

  • Ford over Yarram Creek, Knights Road, Mannerim
  • 502 Bluestone School Road, Connewarre
  • Portarlington Golf Course, Portarlington
  • Curlewis Golf Course, Curlewis.

The amendment proposes to alter a number of provisions of the Greater Geelong Planning Scheme to correct mapping and ordinance anomalies and errors. It also seeks to rezone sites and change overlays as described in the Explanatory Report - see below under 'amendment documents'.

The decision to prepare and exhibit the Amendment was made by a delegated Council officer on 4 March 2018.  A report on the proposal and the Council delegate’s resolution can be found below under “Supporting Documents”.
