Independent Panel was appointed to review submissions. It conducted a Panel
Hearing on 3rd March 2017. The Panel has
provided its report to Council and a copy is provided below under “Panel
Documents” or Here
Council
officers are reviewing the Panel’s recommendations and will prepare a report to
be considered at a future Council meeting (most likely on 23 May 2017).

The Panel has requested Council to provide background information on this website including adopted structure plans, urban design frameworks and heritage studies.

An Independent Panel has been appointed to review submissions. It will conduct a Panel Hearing on Friday 3rd March 2017 in Geelong.
After the hearing, the Panel usually takes 4-8 weeks to provide its report back to Council.

a report on the submissions to this Amendment on 20 October 2016 and resolved to refer them to an Independent
Panel.

A separate amendment to apply an interim Heritage Overlay to the site was approved by the Minister and came into effect on 6 October 2016. This overlay expires on 22 December 2017. Further details on C271 can be found Here

The Amendment applies to 9 Bridge Road, Barwon Heads.
The Amendment seek to apply permanent Heritage controls to 9 Bridge Road, Barwon Heads and specifically seeks to:
- amend the Schedule to Clause 43.01 Heritage Overlay (HO) to include the house and cypress tree at 9 Bridge Road, Barwon Heads (HO1989) on a permanent basis.
- amend Planning Scheme Map 88HO by placing HO1989 over 9 Bridge Road, Barwon Heads on a permanent basis.
