Amendment C347 Managing Development in Rural Areas

The Amendment was adopted by Council on 25th October 2016 and sent to the Minister for Planning for approval.

The Council Administrators considered an officer’s report at the 25 October 2016 meeting and decided the amendment should be adopted.

An Independent Panel was appointed to review submissions. It conducted a Panel Hearing on 12 July 2016.  The Panel has provided its report to Council and a copy is provided below under "Panel Documents".

Council's delegate considered a report on the submissions to this Amendment on 17 May 2016 and resolved to refer them to an Independent Panel. A copy of the Council Delegate’s Report is provided below.

The amendment affects all land in the Farming Zone and Rural Conservation Zone in the City of Greater Geelong. The amendment proposes to update the Local Planning Policy Framework at Clauses 21.07 and 22.06, and introduces a new Clause 22.64; to reflect Council’s adopted 2015 Managing Development in Rural Areas planning policy review.
